Change in Membership Fee Structure

ASN Membership Fee Structure

24th June 2024

Dear Members,

Actuarial Society of Nepal – Membership Fee structure (FY 2081/82)

Thank you to our members for attending the Actuarial Society of Nepal (“ASN” or “Society”) networking event on 22 June 2024. One of the key agenda items that we discussed with you during that event was the proposal to revise the membership fees given the expected increase in cost of operating the ASN going forward. The membership and registration fees were set in 2019 and haven’t been updated since then.

We are writing to inform you about the revised fee structure for the financial year 2081/82. We have carefully considered the Society’s cash flow projections for the next couple of years. Based on these projections, the Council Members have voted to increase the annual membership fees across all categories, including an increase in registration fee for new members.

We understand that the financial increment can be challenging for some members, as we are aware that most of our members are also paying additional annual membership fees to other actuarial associations. However, to ensure long-term financial sustainability of the Society and to provide enhanced service to our members, we believe an increase in the membership fees will help us achieve Society’s goals.

Going forward, the Society will only be accepting the payment for renewal fee or new membership fees in the months of Ashad and Poush. For the upcoming financial year (FY 2081/82), please pay the revised renewal fee by the end of Ashad 2081.
