About Us

The Actuarial Society of Nepal (the “Society”) is the professional body representing qualified actuaries, trainee actuaries, and other professionals in the actuarial field in Nepal. Established in 2019, the Society operates as a non-profit organization committed to advancing actuarial science and practice. Our mission is to foster a community of actuarial professionals, uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, and promote continuous learning and development within the field.

MISSION

(1) To promote and increase awareness of actuarial profession, and enhance reputation of actuarial community within the country; (2) To develop, set and uphold the professional code of conduct and regulate its members in relation to the practice of the actuarial profession; (3) Develop high standards of actuarial education, encourage research on actuarial related topic and to facilitate continuing professional development of its members; and (4) Enable active engagement of members with professionals within and outside of the actuarial community.

VISION

The Society aims to promote and raise awareness of the value that the actuarial profession can bring to the Nepalese insurance industry as well as to the wider financial services sector and to support the members so that in the long run Nepal can become reliant on its own actuaries.
