The Actuarial Society of Nepal ("the Society") serves as the premier professional body representing both qualified and trainee actuaries, along with other professionals dedicated to the actuarial field within Nepal. Established as a non-profit organization in 2019, the Society has grown to become a pivotal entity within the national financial landscape.
Our Mission
(1) To promote and increase awareness of actuarial profession, and enhance reputation of actuarial community within the country;
(2) To develop, set and uphold the professional code of conduct and regulate its members in relation to the practice of the actuarial profession;
(3) Develop high standards of actuarial education, encourage research on actuarial related topic and to facilitate continuing professional development of its members; and
(4) Enable active engagement of members with professionals within and outside of the actuarial community.
Our Vision
The Society aims to promote and raise awareness of the value that the actuarial profession can bring to the Nepalese insurance industry as well as to the wider financial services sector. Another key objective is to support the members so that in the long run Nepal can become reliant on its own actuaries.
